Secret Supper Clubs (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/food_and_drink/real_food/article6714421.ece)
Seems like a nice idea. I know Fatdoc has been to a restaurant near Chesterfield (?) which is in the chef's house but that's a slightly different thing if I remember correctly.
My sister used to frequent a similar thing in Amsterdam. You'd turn up and park yourself on large floor cushions and then there'd be two set meals, one veggie, one meat. A DJ would be spinning in the corner and over the course of the evening it'd turn into more of a party - sounded great.

The first rule of Supper Club ...

Sounds like a similar vibe to The Egg in Liverpool, which is the most down-to-Earth cheap, cheerful, unpretentious, vaguely hippy/studentish place I've been to. I think it's exclusively vegetarian though. Super-tasty, mind.

They sound like a great idea. Shame the Times (like nearly all the media) seems to think things only happen in London :furious:
