Hi all, we're currently in Wales and super keen to get on this boulder, but we know it's infamous for midges. Can anyone let us know how much wind is needed to keep the midges away. (Is 7mph enough?). Any help would be very much appreciated 🙂.

7mph isn't enough to keep midges away, especially in the woods, however anecdotally there doesn't seem to be loads about here at the moment. If you're keen for it, and you're in the area then grab some smidge and get down there.

:devangel:It wasn't too bad down there on Saturday, but was hell the Friday evening before.
A fan helps alot when it's midgey at most places I find

Thanks for the advice guys. Currently the plan is to commit to Saturday when it's meant to be a 12mph wind, and we'll take some midge repellent too. :)
