Title: North Wales lamp scenes
Post by: andy_e on January 09, 2017, 11:26:30 am
Heading to Plazzy Brenin for some mountain first aid training this week and wa wondering where would be good for a lamp session if the weather allows. Cromlech/Bus Stop spring to mind, but are there any other gems? Anybody else planning on heading out?

Plenty of easy access stuff around there.

About 10 mins from the Brenin is very good boulder with zero walk in, Gwynant Roadblock, Topo:

If everywhere is wet there's a good chance Craig Y Llyn bouldering will be dry. This is a small over hanging roadside boulder with loads to go at on a small bit of rock. It's about 15 minutes further along the road towards Beddgelert from the Gwynant boulder.

There's also the Milestone boulders in Ogwen.

Thanks! Given the biblical forecast, I might just stick to the PyB wall. Is it any good?

Not really, It's very small. You'd be better off travelling the 30mins to the Indy or the Beacon.

PyB is OK if you have time for a short lunchtime session if you are based there, but as Luke says if you have an hour and a half or more free, take the drive.
