What a depressing article.
Have seen similar stuff at Milstone recently with bags of rubbish just abandoned.

I was thinking about a fat old bald bloke running in with balloons full of urine wearing only midge repellent.
Word would soon spread

Only workable solution really I guess is regular patrols with legal powers to remove those causing a threat.
How long before all of the eastern (or infact any) moors crags are shut due to the threat of fire. :shrug: :(

Supersoaker filled with piss would also be effective. Maybe at least wear some face camouflage.

I believe the police plan not to attend these sort of incidents in future.

This, plus prosecutions for lighting fires etc where an offence has been committed. Where would the funding come from, however?
