I’ve messaged Andy asking if he can make space on the agenda to discuss the reduction of staff in the Access department and the BMC’s statement (https://www.thebmc.co.uk/restructure-statement-and-update) justifying this.

To anyone in a similar boat for their own area, suggest submitting a question in advance to get it on the agenda.

Thanks for posting this up Simon. Here's some blurb:

Two important issues for discussion this time round:
🪧
Our right to roam - what should we lobby the government for next?
🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️
and the current crisis at the BMC
🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏼‍♀️
If that’s not exciting enough, we'll also have the regular updates on local access, clubs, hillwalking, and members' council.
⛰️
After the serious business we have the pleasure of Bo, who will entertain us with stories of the serious business of his wild wanderings. Bo has his own approach and philosophy about what it means to have fun in the mountains. You can look forward to stories of big walks often done solo, mountain bivvies, and walking up every hill in the Peak District

Starts at 7.30pm @ Bamford Village Institute with a social meet at the Angler’s Rest pub (across the road) from 6.30 🍻 and chips served in the venue at 7.15 😋 link in bio for more info.
