Is there any way to write a thread without the long line of emoticons appearing above it? The movement attracts attention in a busy office?
:please:

Quality question. I get the same funny looks and questions from pupils when I try to reply during a lesson! :spank: (note: the spank symbol was for me being a naughty boy, not to represent the content of my lessons).

at least you can access ukb at school, it's classed as a chat room and therefore blocked at mine :'(
-
It probably is at mine. In fact, we're not supposed to access the internet for any personal use whatsoever. So obviously, my use of UKB is purely for the preparation and delivery of lessons. Currently my class are studying a unit looking at classic boulder problems of the Peak and North Wales, with a focus upon those between 7a and 7c this week. Since I work in a special school, the unit is differentiated according to the needs of my pupils and is much longer than is usual in a mainstream school. I reckon we'll be on this unit for the next year or more.

have you tried right-click -> block images from ukbouldering.com? Although then you won't be able to see any pictures.

Although this isn't the perfect solution, it will work for now.
Go to your profile, and select "look and layout preferences"
Select smiley set "none" from the dropdown list.
I should really implement a full and reduced set of smileys coz the default ones are shit.

When you update can we have a special "Lancashire Bouldering" emoticon? Like a bunch of dudes huddled in a dirty hole or something? ;D
