Title: How to embed www links?
Post by: tommytwotone on June 22, 2011, 01:27:25 pm
Seen that lots of people can embed links into their posts, so you only need to click on the word and it takes you straight there.

I can't work out how to do it - I can only add the clickable link that ends up being the URL written in full.

Anyone care to wise me up?

Code: [Select]
Here let me Google that for you

Here let me Google that for you (http://www.lmgtfy.com)

The easiest way to work out how someone has done something is to "Quote" them and look at the code itself.

I use a Firefox plugin called bbcodeextra which gives an option to 'make selection url'. I do know how to code it longhand but I wouldn't bother

Cool, cheers...

I should update the UKB wiki shouldn't I? (http://www.ukbouldering.com/wiki/index.php/UkBouldering.com_site_FAQ)

Feel free to add an entry, or simply link to the SMF : User Guide (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=5.0;sort=subject).

I wouldn't spend any time working on the wiki unless the overlords decide that they want to keep it first.
