I am after a set of rings for next years training mission and was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to buy from? The cheapest i have found are $98 inc pp from gymnasticbodies.com. cheers.

I made a rings post recently. I think Paul B summarised the best deal if I remember correctly...

I bought elite rings:
http://ringtraining.com/shop/equipment/elite-rings.html (http://ringtraining.com/shop/equipment/elite-rings.html)
but you can also try:

I can also forward you an email for someone who makes wooden rings, drop me a message if so.

Here is the credit crunch version. Saw these in IKEA and for £6.50 couldn't leave them on the shelf.
Ignore the red plastic b@llocks, that comes straight off. They work well enough for pull ups, dips, etc. Not tried anything fancy on them.

Incidentally anyone seen these things for reducing the load on ring training. Seems like a great idea.

NOTE: Under no circumstances should you actually visit an IKEA store to purchase these items. I'd rather visit Meadhowhall on Christmas eve with tooth ache than set foot in an IKEA store again!

Same place (http://ringtraining.com (http://ringtraining.com)) - Elite Strenth Trainer. 90 bucks. http://ringtraining.com/shop/equipment/elite-strength-trainer.html (http://ringtraining.com/shop/equipment/elite-strength-trainer.html)

we set up a pulley system to have a go at moves beyond us "The Dream Machine" didn't last long as our building was cruelly taken away from us!

FYI just found them on the ikea website. Called EKORRE
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00041048 (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00041048)
hmm might order a set online. Cannot handle ikea, that maze which makes you walk the entire length of the store in order to get from the entrance to the tills. arrrrrghh
Cheers
Tim

They have an equivalent to the elite rings unit and a pulley system at the gym I go to. The pulley is 50% advantage, the elite (depending on you're setup) is about half that. They are both good ways to progress and keep good form.

These seem really good value
