Title: Old Camera Repairs.
Post by: mini on November 10, 2013, 06:11:26 pm
Whilst up at the folks last weekend the old man pulled out a camera that hasn't seen the light of day for nearly two decades. It's an old Exa 500, from the late 60's (see below). The len was pretty tight, which has now been freed off, but the mirror seems to be stuck up and needs a bit of attention. The local camera shop can't do anything deeming it as a collectable, but as it would be nice to get the old gal up and running for old times sake can anyone recommend a good place that does servicing for old SLR's?

You could try H Lehmann in Stoke, though they are very good I'm not sure they do really old/ obsolete stuff. Though you wouldn't think that stood at the counter.

Expect it to cost a lot more than any semblance of worth the camera retains.
