Title: Dove Lowe knowledge
Post by: sherlock on September 12, 2022, 12:08:43 pm
We're going to be in the area and this looks like a good spot. However I have a bad back after a fall. What's the walking like. Guidebook says it's flat but is it really? Mrs S I will carry the pads and I use walking poles. Is there much bracken around and what's it like moving between boulders bearing in mind and I am also visually impaired which is usually manageable but I am nervous of tripping again  making my back even worse. Alternatively does anyone know a local vet you could just shoot me?
Thanks in advance

Lovely spot. Mostly a flat gravel access road for the reservoir, then a short tussocky stretch up to the boulders themselves, few minutes max. Mostly a single cluster of boulders and very compact. I had a walk on to the Hammerhead but that's a bit more of a flog. Cow's Mouth is a similar flattish walk from the White House pub nearby. You could go onwards to Stony Edge from there, but further and more spread out.

No bracken either. It's a wonderful spot. Enjoy!
