Title: Removing foam from pads
Post by: jshaw on May 26, 2021, 07:37:16 pm
A few seams need stitching on my pads. The foam is fine. Would be an easy job if the foam is taken out of the pad. In previous experience I have found doing this an absolute nightmare (removing foam and putting it back in).

Does anyone have any tips for getting old foam out of a pad with a view to putting it back in?
Similarly, does anyone have any tips for getting old foam back in the covers?

TIA

Josh

I've not found it too bad - fold the foam in half (fold parallel with the direction you shove it in). Shove it in - get the back corners in first then wiggle it about until it fits. Another method is to wrap the foam in polythene (like you'd wrap a parcel - not just shove it in a bin bag :D ) which makes it go in easier - but I've never had to do that.
