I am keen to have a couple of sessions shadowing a more experienced climbing coach over to improve my own coaching. I have had it as an uncompleted Annual Target for the last two years!
Can anyone recommend someone specific or a NW youth academy that is particularly good? Main venues I can easily visit are Boulder UK, RockOver, MCC and Awesome Walls. But could travel a bit further if required. Would rather do midweek evenings than weekends.

Would suggesting a kettle to a teapot be too easy?

Good suggestion and would be a Kettle to a Kettle
Looking at his website it looks like he is the guy to go to for Coaching quals, which I may look into.
Atm I just want to get a chance to observe another coach coaching. Some of my students are part of the Depot academy so I might give Tom a call and see if he can help me out.

On a personal level, John is a grand fella.

I think Gill runs the youth coaching at BUK, and they all seem to be little beasts, so may be worth giving them a call.

Agreed.

I might have my wires crossed but isn’t Jack Palameri do youth coaching in the NW?

Gill is a good option.
Just did a Google search and Jack appears to be Manchester based and GB junior coach.
Cheers all
