I saw this on the other channel this morning. I climbed a little with Chris and remember him as one of the great characters of '80s 'Beris. A sad loss.

Met him in Oz when he was here back in the 80s and was introduced to the slate by him when I first visited Llanberis. Happy memories, lovely guy, sad loss. RIP Chris.

Popped up on Mark McGowan's blog (http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,15228.msg304047.html#msg304047) couple of days ago.

I met Chris when he was doing his ski training/assessment for his guides badge. He was very tolerant of my behaviour.

I can only assume that there is a new, particularly sparkly star in the sky to replace him.
