G.A hows tricks, am very old and weak, but not as old and weak as you.Kirsty my daughter adds 8 pull ups, shes training for caving, well done birthday girl.Paul B icecream makers are good, have you done windsreen wipers, or clocks-thats hanging from something by your hands and using your feet like windsreen wipers, or using your feet like an hour pointer, if you combine them in a set of pull ups and have ankle wieghts on you get a fairly nasty excersise. Whats the best numbers on a small metrolious rung for pull ups, without wieght and max wieght, thanks in advance. Stevie

In what sense dylan? the info or the training?I was responding to stevies 's question. Also I can see that theres some really strong people on here and I'd like to know how there pull up abilities compare with mine, how and if they train pullups, how their pull up abilities compare to there climbing abilities and whether people rate pull ups as a useful training for climbing.I know this was not the point off the thread but these are some interesting questions. I wonder what stevie thinks?It would be interesting to see what level some of the people on here climb and what there pull up abilities. I wonder how someone like stevie who has incredible pullup ability and fitness feels his climbing level relates to his pull up strength especially now hes done his sport climbing pb (8c+, sorry if I've got this wrong).Should some one at my level focus on trying to do one armers or try and build my level to be able to do say 30+ pull ups? or both? should you do pull ups on finger edges or dead hangs and pull ups seperately? or would none of this help me move up the grades to trad E5, Font 7b\c, red point sport f7c\8a?
Is doing pullups really a waste of time?
