When taking the same journey yesterday I was sure I caught the whiff of lettuce laden tortoise poo whilst passing over Saddleworth... I think we're at the threshold of the tipping point on the cusp at the nadir of the calling (maybe).

PS - Galpinos give me a bell if you're in 'ull overnight and fancy a beer.

4 degrees when I left Manchester this morning, 2.5 was the lowest reading heading over to Hull (car thermometer).

well you know what they say, 'when Hull freezes over...'

It was pleasantly Dickensian as I coughed through the morning smog to work... ;)

The grit isn't called until EOTA is flashed in the season!

I'm actually on the south side of the river (Immingham Refineries) but only over for the day, I'm here every Tuesday. If I stay over in the future, I will indeed get in touch, it does happen but I try to avaoid it. During the shutdown next year it'll be inevitable I fear......

Had to drive with heater on full blast and windscreen wipers on scrape ice off of my windscreen this morning in Sheffield and conditions look good this week. Must be time?

-0.5 C recorded on the way to the office in Manchester this morning near Bamford, and the friction felt good once the sun had gone off the rock at RHS yesterday. Good for punter-level problems anyway  ;)

If I'd known I could have offered you a session on North Lincs finest training venue and it was only 1 degree on the South bank this morning.

If you go to Brough Haven at low tide and wade across the Humber to Winteringham Haven and then avoiding the 5 star dining at Winteringham fields. You might just find the board in my annex. However it might be heading to North Yorkshire in a month or two.

0'c at dusk with a biting NE-ly wind.

Shorts and top-off with a stupid hat that makes you look like a cunt weather in the sun.

 :wall:

With the lime caller climbing E7 on grit before the call and total confusion amongst the scrittle populous I'd say this is worse than Dobbin's Facebook lime call egg drop.

Hilarious.

If I were JB I'd be considering either punching everyone in the face or passing the call to someone else after the fiasco that this thread has turned into.

You bunch of idiots, wait for the call and all will be well!

Lolz etc.

You're not likely to get the call this week, as the caller has deserted his station and is living it up in Font at our expense.

That's no excuse. With communication and the extensive web of tortoise observers around the UK this should be simple...

Shameful.

The grit was called yesterday morning, after consuming an heroic dose of Amanita I was able to commune with him with the cocked leg and we ran through khute til it was done. Unfortunately due to the almighty hangover, the queue wanting to drink my piss and the vagaries of French mobile data that I was unable to post til now. Enjoy.

Ps anyone who mentions either sport climbing or cheats on this thread will have their permits revoked. That is all.
