You fool Lagers. They know cold weather is coming and are afraid of the Quail-headed Crow, for his hunger will be mighty.

Double figures in Skipton all weekend. It seems He is having a lie in this year.

Quote from: The Met Office
UK Outlook for Monday 3 Nov 2014 to Wednesday 12 Nov 2014:

A cool and showery northerly airstream in the north of the UK will spread south to most districts on Monday. The showers will be most frequent in the northwest where they may fall as snow over Scottish mountains, and it will be windy. Temperatures generally a little below average but feeling cold in comparison to the recent very mild weather. Showers may ease somewhat from around midweek with more in the way of brighter weather, with perhaps rural frosts overnight. Thereafter, a return to more unsettled and windy weather from the southwest looks the most likely scenario with spells of rain and milder conditions pushing northeastwards across the country interspersed by brighter, showery and colder days. The best of the drier and brighter weather in the southeast.

UK Outlook for Thursday 13 Nov 2014 to Thursday 27 Nov 2014:

During this period, the generally west or southwesterly flow is likely to bring spells of wet and windy weather, mostly affecting northern and western areas. However, southern and eastern areas will probably see some drier and settled conditions increasing the likelihood of some sunshine, but also the risk of frost, mist and fog overnight, the latter of which could be slow to clear. After this probably turning more unsettled across the south and east, whilst remaining unsettled across northern parts. Daytime temperatures by then may well be near or a little above normal, although feeling colder during any wet and windy spells.

Issued at: 0400 on Wed 29 Oct 2014

Not here just yet but it looks like there's unsettled weather coming next week and the chance of a mis-call. I have faith in the tortoise that he will make the right decision. Nailbiting stuff.

None of the outlook screams classic grit conditions, especially for us weekend punters who can't make use of any midweek dryness (like today). Perhaps we are on for another non-winter like last year?!

He?

Do we know the gender of the tortoise?
If not - I think that is a little presumptuous... no wonder THE tortoise has not uttered a judgement.

Next you'll be calling Almscliff the "Devils Wart" and a plague of warm clag will hover over all grit outcrops for the duration of the winter...

:guilty: :guilty: :guilty: BLASPHEMY!!! :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

'He' does not refer to the Almighty Tortoise, you heathen unwashed! The Tortoise is merely the Caller of the Grit - the Messiah who passes news of the new season to us, the faithful. 'He' is Him With The Highmost Step; He who has touched the grit at Khute. Know you nothing, man?

BURN HIM!

Fuck me, that top bar is definitely the hardest "UKB forum code" that I've ever redpointed

No where near, went to Almscliff this morning expecting good temps, as soon as the sun was out I was greasing off everything. Went to Caley instead for some shade...

Ratho yesterday, Dunkeld today.

Both times conditions fresh and cool in the wind.  :-\

Both times I saw hundreds of geese flying determinedly NORTH. :slap:
