Still midges out at the cliff and Caley this weekend, pretty mint yesterday evening, but it ain't time for picking sloes just yet...

Agreed - I got bitten a fair bit at Ilkley on Sunday, felt a bit warm to be climbing in jeans to be honest.

As for the call? It's close but I don't reckon we're quite there yet.

Maybe my view is biased by the fact we were on top of Ilkley Moor until 9.30 last night...

No, two of us were suitably tatted, so only one of us was bar tat.

If he wasn't wearing a hat he would have almost certainly been eaten by the worms, who may well then have been eaten by ducks...

We'll have to go up and eat those ducks (or rather, someone who eats duck can).

Was out on the grit with Duncan Disorderly earlier in the week. It was cool but still vest weather and pretty greasy.

HOWEVER....he raised the good question as to whether the lime was actually called properly this year?? Obviously Dob was seeking to pass the baton on as he'd been too busy with his own baton hence the Dobblet to look after....but was there a confirmed call?? This could have messed up the whole seasons and indeed UK summer weather...

If the lime call is deemed invalid then technically the grit is still called from last year. Are we going to have to skip a grit season to bring everything back into line, like they did with the gregorian calendar?

Honestly, you leave a simple job to Dobbin and look what a fucking state we're in.

There was no call.  Just because he couldn't get out himself he had to spoil it for everyone else, selfish just selfish.

No, I'm glad he didn't uncall the grit. I've had a good summer not on the white stuff :)

Still midges out at the cliff and Caley this weekend

No midges on Burbage North on Tuesday evening.  No wind, cold (ish) rock and no midges...

Hark - what is that I hear?

Considering it, going to wait on weather and wrist (and of course JB's call) before final decision though.

Not tonight, might be down sat eve, or sun if I decide against the grit. Which circuit you doing this eve?

Exactly what Mr Disorderly said, hence the lime being wet this year.

After a couple of wasted trips, I made it down to Khute this morning and caught the big man. He wasn't for waiting. Felt a bit fitter this year so I reckon I'll go a few more years yet.

Enjoy folks!
