I'm trying to think of a suitable lime equivalent to 'luck based scrittle community' but currently struggling to shoehorn painful, dogged repetition, eating disorders, squeaky voices, sunken eyes, and glued-up lineless chossy linkups into one snappy soundbite.

Painful, Dogged Repetition, Eating Disorders, Squeaky Voices, Sunken Eyes, Glued-Up Chossy Linkups. That gives us P, D, R, E, D, S, V, S, E, G, U, C and L. hmmm...

I wasn't aware that the grit ever needed to be called as it is climbable year round, unlike the lime which seems to be piss wet most of the time. However, as an rough guide, I don't think the grit will be in condition until at least January, to allow me to enjoy perfect conditions in the solitude I have enjoyed for the last few days. I have no idea why the majority of folks need to wait until its too cold, but whatever floats your boat... :slap:

The grit will be called when waiting is filled.

Waiting is.

I do not yet grok the fullness of The Calling of The Grit.

I will wait.

Just found this interesting little known extract from Heidegger's unpublished journals:

‘Let us consider then the question of the calling. What is the calling? We shall try to think about the calling. But this thinking about the calling does not presume to discover ideas about calling, let alone to give rules for calling. This venture in thought does not view calling as an art or technique; rather it traces calling back into that domain to which everything that is belongs. We ask:

1.   What is it to call?
2.   How does calling belong to being?

To call is to be, the calling is in the being, as the being is in the calling and the scrittle. The calling and being are made present together in the essential unfolding which is the fourfold of the fog, the frost, the sun, and the scrittle. And where can this being and calling be? Why only in  the time, the time that is proper for the calling and the being. Earth is the serving bearer, blossoming and fruiting, spreading out in rock and water, rising up into plant and animal. Calling is really not calling. Calling is the manner in which mortals are on the earth ...

Bugger this, is the Pfalz dry yet?’

I fear this argument will never be settled.

Quote
Where two principles really do meet which cannot be reconciled with one another, then each man declares the other a fool and a heretic”
― Ludwig Wittgenstein, Peak Bouldering, 1st edition.

Although Hegel would have waited for perfect conditions I suspect:
Quote
Gritstone has often been regarded as an art, as though it rested on a subjective talent and did not belong to the objectivity of the Friction.
- GWF Hegel, The Science of Scrittle

My take on Heiddegger's attitude to The Calling begins with the assertion that grit conditions and weather and time of year are all part of "The Thrown" that we find ourselves in.

Being dependant on another person's view/description of The Thrown is to give up responsibilty for one's own life.

Thus, anyone placing value in The Calling is basically dodging Angst and thereby losing what it is to be a person.

I concluded that Heidegger thinks that The Calling is a Wrongness

Wuh? Did anyone else hear that squeaking sound? Kind of like a nasal bat. Almost as if there were words in there but just outside my audible range. And I keep seeing pale wraith like creatures popping in and out of shadowy corners. This place is haunted.

If Grit is God's own rock, calling the Grit has much more to do with metaphysics than with rational?
So, with Kant, I say that metaphysic is not a science to investigate something, and can't discover anything. If we can't get to know God, how can  get to know his own rock? If we can't know it, how can we call it?
Also, what is the noumenon behind the phenomenon known as Grit?
I can only say "you MUST grit".
"two things Fill me with wonder: the sticky grit in front of me and the moral law Within me".

I take Kant's view on grit to be "you ought to grit". No compulsion, but you'll be making a mistake if you don't.
