Daaaad, can you call the grit?Nah, it's too earlybut it's freeezingMaybe in the mornings, in the wind, in the shade.... Honestly it's not ready yet, just be patient. But it's soooo cold right nowWell you can take your opportunities but overall it's not timeoooh but I Love the gritI know, we all do but we just have to be patientBut I can't wait, I wanna go climbingthe lime's pretty good at the moment...but I hate the lime, I reeeeally love the gritwhy don't you do some training, then you'll be ready when the time comesOh, but I hate training, it's just so hardWell if you don't practice you might not do very well when the time comesit's so unfair, everybody's waiting, why don't you just call it?Ok ok, go on, climb on it, but I'm telling you it's not ready. Don't come running to me when you grease off a sloper and break your leg.….............
As has been illustrated if you're smart/lucky you can find decent nick on the grit here and there, it's just not on general release yet. But if you do want to climb on some rock in very good condition find your self some shady limestone of a morning. You might find all those memories you have about pulling on minging greasy holds in horrible warmth and humidity have passed, you'd be amazed at how much better the holds work when it's cooler, and you might even get fit* for grit season.* or injured

You were the one who sanctimoniously bollocked me for climbing on the grit "before it had been called".
Well you're old and sound like a broken record as you only ever say the same things.
