Fourth consecutive day of blue skies and cold temps today.

Definitely still not on. Midges out in force this afternoon despite warm sunshine.

Clocks have gone back - scraped ice off the windscreen twice...

It feels more grit like than at last years calling.

Is Jb away at the moment?

He'll still be in his box bouncing the zeds off the inside - we're set to be back up into double figure temps this coming weekend!

Well this is a weird one. I've had four out of five for a while now but can't finish the job due to the incessant fucking rain.

It's a tough one JB. The precipitatory obfuscation must be even more frustrating for you.

At least the Tor and Cove might end up perma-seeping which will move things in the right direction.

Friday or more likely Sunday as calling days...

Actually, all irrelevant now as all eastern grit will have been washed away in is currently floating down the Derwent towards Derby.

I went out yesterday. Decent frost first thing and didn't get above 5'C all day. Bits of Caley were dry. Brimham was soaked. Ended up doing eliminates at Almscliff until it rained.

Seems like grit season to me...  ::)

That's the Yorkshire I remember.

Shorts, tops off and flies still out at Stanage today. I know it was a poor choice of venue for the forecast but didn't feel like grit conditions to me.

The rocks still not cold - but with a chill wind and sun in and out of the clouds it felt like the call was right at Gibb Tor today...

Dry chilled rock and numb fingers at Earl. Didn't warm up on the 1 hour drive home with the heaters on full. Ye of all the doubts.

Boss up at simons seat. Broke ice in my wellies on the walk in. Stanage is always a poor choice at weekends.

CrosswordS Will, crosswordS!

I've got a quick and a cryptic ready to go - a few of the UK regulars are just peer reviewing the cryptic as I type as I wanted to be sure there aren't any howlers in there.

I've got PDF versions, only question is how to get them circulated. I guess I could always stick them in my Google Drive / Dropbox or something.
