Need a room in sheffield for the forseeable future. Preferably in Crookes/Walkley. If anyone knows of such a place, can you let  me know!!

I also want a room in sheffield. these areas you mentioned any good for living in if you are a non car owning (cyclist) climber who wants to get t crag after work on bike ? if not any beta on a good area would be appreciated. google maps seem to suggest ecclesall / S11 area but i dont know if these areas best avoided for some reason.

The South and East of Sheffield tend to be the more expensive areas of Sheffield, and the three areas mentioned (Crookes, Walkley and Eccelsall Road) are all popular student areas so are slightly more expensive.

You want to be on the East for ease of access to the crags though.  Get used to riding up hills, there are plenty around Sheffield and they're unavoidable heading out to the crags.

Sorry, I can't offer any help with rooms though.

A climber friend of mine has room available in his house in Nether Edge. 10min drive to Peak, very close to Works, lots of climbers in the area. Pm me if you want more details and I'll put you in touch.

Slackers, have you been at the crack pipe again?

East of sheffield is completely the wrong side for the crags (unless talking about roche abbey), east of sheffield is darnall and woodhouse and areas like that, whilst west is walkley, crookes, fulwood etc. Gadzooks man.

Although, that does explain why I have never seen you at the crag.
