Went over to Chatel Bike Park a few years ago from Morzine - it was fun, but these new, big lines look very scary. Black Shore looks bad enough but Air Voltage looks fucking bok mental.

Went over to Chatel Bike Park a few years ago from Morzine - it was fun, but these new, big lines look very scary. Black Shore looks bad enough but Air Voltage looks fucking bok mental.

Air voltage is insaine, at the start there is a warning, no chicken lines I got to the first part and decided to walk my bike down the rest

All the new tracks are amazing, They have big jumps next to chicken jumps, so you can take whatever you like depending on your mood, mind you I went on the black avalanche run, there was a big jump into a banked corner with no chicken out, blew my rear tire to shreds when I landed, i did'nt fall off, just hit a little rut, new wheel required and a long walk back to the van, as most of the runs are 5k long from the very top

I'm inn the process of considering realy cheap accomadation for next year, one in Champery the other in Morzine... friends of friends etc...

have to say I would be keen to stay in Chatel, with perhaps one day over in lesGets....

stayed in morzine, I think chatel has the best riding, but morzine is a great base, you can get to le getes quick enough on bike, and also chatel, took me just under an hour on the bike, there is a little up hill but not much, and you can also do some great runs on the way, you cross over another bike park to get there, and the black run coming home is amazing, but the ride down super morzine is harsh, recomend taking the road back

I think I will prob stay in morzine again next year and just ride to chatel everyday, saying that on the last day there, I drove to the lake wchich is 20minute drive, then you can get the lift up to the top of chatel, but this lift does not open till 9.30 so you loose 30 minutes of riding

One good point about staying in morzine, is there are plenty of bars for lunch and bear, and also a good selection of bike shops if anything goes wrong that cant fix,

mmmmmmm that does look good, I think I turned right on that second corner, and ended up going down a river, straight down, roots, rocks the lot, I went in the shop and asked the guy about it, he said that was the right path but only in the dry
