Can anyone advise how many sizes down from their normal shoe size they take in these shoes. I will be mainly be using these shoes for training in and warming up outside in so don't need them to be super tight. Are they particularly wide?

I am an 8 1/2 reg. shoe, 7 velcro and a 6 1/2 blue slipper. The y are a little narrower than the moccasym, but after a month(when they have lost their edge) they perform the same. I am using them as my indoor shoe at the mo' as venoms are out of the loop 'til April. The blues are fine but don't expect much from the heel. Gains half a size through use...

Thanks for the reply. Are La Sportiva revamping the Venom's? I had a pair stolen and have been unable to replace them.

Venoms were not in the line-up  for 2008 at all, just old stock. I hear they are reintroducing them in the spring but I cannot find anything net-side to back this up. I believe my rumour is based upon conversations at the Freidrichshafen? tradeshow.
