Strange question, but aside from PC World, are there any physical places anyone can recommend to buy a laptop? Or is it as simple as manufacturers website's?

dell outlet is a good place, however it isn't a place you can go.

No idea where you live, but if you want to look at a wide selection of laptops (of course they won't have every possible make and model), I would suggest that you should go to Totenham court road in London.

morgan computers just bought a laptop from them at a serious reduction (as you would expect for a factory rebuild) but since my brother and his uber geeky programming mates all use them and i've never had any problems I'd recommend them on price and good customer care.
