I find wire gates much easier, I keep getting my finger caught in the bent gate ones. suppose it's probally just the ones what you're used to.

Poor Munkii, they are big bullies here sometimes  :'(

I like wire gates better becasue I find them easier to clip with my tiny weak lady hands.  But I don't like wire on the gear end (if there is one, I suppose it applies to bolts too) cause people have told me frightening stories about them being too easy to open

i prefer bent gate if i don't have to carry them!

less "nose" where the gate jouns the main biner means they are less likely to unclip with the rope than wire gate.

'pie i also have weak girly hands the springyness of the gate isn't always easier on wire gates

I prefer wiregates all the time, as they're lighter, no more expensive (check out the deals on Joe Browns, and V12's websites), and there's less mass in the gate, so they're less likely to open as far or for as long as a solid gate. As for how easy they are to clip... well... I think that's personal preference, but I think most wiregates are easy enough (the only exception being the DMM Shield).
