I was talking font grades rather than route grades. It gets 8b+ in Ru's guide, and must be at least 8b so of course he has.

Speaking on behalf of Doylo who is currently picking up soap from the floor of a Lancaster prison, Drink Driving (8a+) is his greatest grade achievement in bouldering as of yet. There's 8b in the wings of the future I'm sure.

Louis Armstrong should be regarded as 8B and Danny Cattell should be welcomes into the club. Schule des Lebens shouldn't really count...

Once this little count is complete, I'd be interested to see a count of those who've climbed 8B+ (and 8C), so as to compare the distribution towards the top end. I'm outta here!

Stew Watson has done another 8B problem other than the not generally considered to be 8B Schule. The Riverbed at Avers, although I know nothing about this problem.

Did Sean Myles ever climb 8B? He was certainly strong enough to have done.

Just had a crazy thought, I wonder if Zippatricks would be 8b in today's money? i know its unrepeated and eliminate... Should Zippy be installed onto the list?

i think we're speculating there. to someone of zippy's height in decent nick it could feel like 7c for all we know. if we're submitting people to the list based upon almost unreapeatable morpho oddball niche eliminate problems with a wildly guessed grade then you're going to devalue the list somewhat.

Yes I was taking a bit of a flyer there but worth debating nonetheless. I would have thought it would be more than 7c irrespective of height, those slopers are pretty poor. I'm sure it is unrepeated for a reason.
