Tonight's race in Canada was the best ever.
A long wait then some brilliant driving from jenson who went from last to win the race on the last lap. Proper shouting at the telly stuff. Anyone else(apart from fatdoc) see it  ?

Awesome last few laps. Got to love schumacher's effort. Hat off to jenson, was out my chair when he went into P1

That was unbelievable. Watched it all from 5pm and got very excited at the end.

Vettel didn't look too happy with himself after the race though.

Listened to the start on radio then watched all through the rain delay plus a bit after the restart. Mrs insisted I turn over and I didn't protest too hard as the track was drying and with Vettel in front after half the laps I assumed a procession to the line. Turned back just as the program was ending with "Best race ever" etc, etc, still don't know what happened, NNFN!

Whilst I agree the final racing was stunning to watch lets not get carried away with ourselves. The race started under a safety car, was red flagged and had numerous other safety car appearances and the winner finished with an investigation hanging over him from the officials.

Were even a half the number of laps competitively raced? The sport has issues.

You know a sport has issues when you have to have a comedy marshal moment.

Well 10 days till the new season kicks off again  ;D

I find this place http://www.f1technical.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14721 to be far and away the best source for all F1 related info (link is particular to the final test session at Barcelona) but there's enough cleverness on that site to keep any F1 geek happy!

Given the relative lack of changes to the reg's this year it's difficult to imagine much change in the general running order. Pirelli of course are the great unknown given most of the testing has been at quite low temps which makes it difficult to get the tyre into its optimal operating window.

Lotus seem to be showing good form over the longer runs (consistent and low tyre deg) and one can only hope that Merc are considerably less shit than last year.
Do McLaren have the drivers to exploit a competitive but not dominant car? I don't think so.
If Ferrari give Fernando a fighting chance then we've seen what he can do. Tyre deg again looks to be their demon.

But its hard to see anything other than a fourth straight WDC and WCC for the powerful Vettel/Newey combination.

Here we go again  :great:

If I was Lewis Hamilton I'd be seriously pissed off that I'd left one of the top three teams, to a team which was on the rise only to have their team principle (Ross Braun) potentially being replaced  :slap:. Mclaren were right there last season so if they've sorted   the reliability issues out I'm expecting big things from Button.

I'm a massive Kimi fan so I hope he can pull lotus further up the order and take some more podiums, he's definitely a breath of fresh air for the sport.

That top link is great cheers, have a wad point  :coffee:

...I'm expecting big things from Button.

I still believe he needs to learn to adjust his driving style to suit the conditions (tyres, downforce, weather etc..)  When everything is optimal for him he is very very quick, but when they aren't he just seems to be a little lacking.

Alonso is the king at this.

I'm a massive Kimi fan so I hope he can pull lotus further up the order and take some more podiums, he's definitely a breath of fresh air for the sport.

Shut up he knows what he is doing.... ;D

Its rubbish isnt it. I wish they were all on the BBC..

I think Sky is trailing a pay per view service for sky sports at the moment - so you may be able to cough up a tenner (I think thats the charge) for a days viewing. Thieving gets.

 :agree:

Fantastic race and F1 is exciting again. The fact that Mercedes have said there will be no team orders for the rest of the season means it could be an epic battle. Think Hamilton has already proved a few people wrong.
