The 2 best bouldering crags in the country are both in yorkshire IMHO
Maybe it's just because the Yorkshiregrit site is really good and additional publicity is not considered worth persuing
UKB has never really been very on top of Yorkshire activity because the majority of people putting up probs in Yorkshire don't bother to post stuff about it here
Going back to YG, it is the best news resource for us.
The other thing is I never hear news about Northumberland. Is that because there's not much going on there or they keep things quite?
This may be of some use;http://www.northumberlandbouldering.co.uk/and to a lesser extenthttp://www.climbonline.co.uk/news.htm
Brand new bouldering guide for the county is just out too.
The Northumberland scene sounds to be very similar to the Yorkshire scene. In that there is quite a bit going on but not a lot of trumpets getting blown. Going back to YG, it is the best news resource for us. Yes the updates can be slow, but they do get put up. You could read the mags but they seam to crib their info from Jons site. I also think there are problems and particularly areas Jon chooses not to put on, such as ................... oops nearly gave it away then!
Thinking about it, surely there are quite a few Yorkshire based folk who post on UKB? Webbo, Stubbs, UTG, Sypeland, Steve Dunning occasionally and now there is Tom P. Fashion Guru is ex Yorkshire and so am I, Johnny Brown, El Mocho. Before you know it, it'll be the fashionable thing to do.
