bmc peak meeting
July 20, 2008, 07:42:35 pm
no one else has mentioned it so...

it's this wednesday at travellers rest near buxton. looking at agenda it looks like some of the stuff that people give a shit about, and which has been discussed recently on ukb, will be popping up (access, fixed gear etc) so if you can make it then it's worthwhile. it's the rare occasion when it's on the western side of peak too. you get chips and sarnies and shit for your trouble. word.

Aye, come on, le'ts see some bums on seats. Looks like we'll also be discussing the recent tree felling at the Tor too.

I'll have to send my apologies. It's a long way from Bristol, even with the offer of free chips.

Whoever chose that pub to discuss walls adorned with metalwork certainly knows what they're doing.

should the BMC not be doing live webcasts of these meetings by now?

So, how did it go?
Was the important issue of fixed peg and tat replacement on Peak limestone discussed fully and properly, or did the ash tree (and associated drainage issues) get priority?

the peg issue was discussed a length. the conclusion was no-one could agree. hopefully some minutes will appear, i can't be arsed regurgitating it all.
