Stone Country - Scottish developments

Although I suspect very few of you give a tiny rat's ass, here is an update of developments up here.

Farr boulder looks nice. Clear more trees I say.

I can't see it and I do give a tiny rat's ass.  :'(

Work is telling me it's either pr0n or a social networking site  :-\

They might regard blogs as social network, you will have to wait til you get home?

Nice one, some good stuff there.  I drove past Glen Ogle a couple of weeks ago.  Loads of boulders, and seems under-developed.

It gets a mention in the new guide? But yes, in the grand scheme of things it is pretty undeveloped.

Yeah, it mentions 14 problems.  Although this is likely to be a small selection I bet there's lots to be had.

Chris,

The clearing of trees may prove crucial in bouldering development in scotland! I emailed Forestry commission for a felling timetable but they said it would be a couple of weeks work so nevermind. They asked if it was just a uni project, i thought i'd just say yeh rather than say I'm looking for a boulder...

The Jamie boulder is ok though that line featured is by far(r) the best problem on I'm afraid. More to do at Ruthven or Brin if it's winter.

Sounds good, and looks like worth checking out if passing. Made the mistake of going to Brin one and that was August, and a few years ago. Looks like the guys have done a good job of cleanign them up.

Indeed. Have meant to stop a few times, but usually more interested in getting home after a knackering weekend in FW or Glencoe. Long way from there to Aberdeen.

Greg,

You have left out Luke Fairweather's prob at Portlethen from the Scottish list too;
