A bit more than that, some people dont even use the internet.

Now you're just being silly.  ;)

Apparently there's quite an Armish scene down the popular end most weekends.

"That's too complicated for the Cocktalk masses. Apparently." A bit more than that, some people dont even use the internet.

How do you choose between causing a group of people to struggle in several possible respects or a smaller subset of another but better informed group who will get annoyed but who can easily translate? At least the decision gives good bitching opportunities.
Sorry but I still don't get it Offwidth...... So you're saying that there's a possibility of someone reading a description of let's say The Asp , E3 6a 12m , turning up at Stanage , throwing their mat underneath it , having a truly scary time and then blaming the guidebook for confusing them ..... Because if indeed this is the case then maybe you should put a sticker on the cover of each guidebook saying " not to be used by fuckwits " .......

We have a winner!

I actually think we need a new grading system with a variable for morons, eg have you asked cocktalk for beta for your onsite? etc

It's not rocket science .... keen boulderers can normally sort things out for themselves, however plenty of chuffers know squat about bouldering grades and need more help (especially a UK trad grade). Remember this is the first peak series including such grades. It would be a nice idea  to be whimsical and produce a guide that returned most upgraded Extremes back to HVS, reinstalled all the low-grade sandbags and used font grades to keep the Slopers of the world happy.... but not very commercial. We still left plenty of fun for those who look.... and only a month to go now.

14 months after the question was first asked... drum roll please... Froggatt is now in stock!!!

Looks like it was worth the wait too.

That's all very well but I've just looked at the sample chapter and they've used V grades for the bouldering.
