Lime beckons us forth,
As spring breathes life to the rocks,
Climbers heed its call.

And it was written - Hopefully that wasn't a knee jerk reaction and we've averted the biblical deluge.... Watch those tendons folks! :dance1:

I assume you were at Hawkcliffe yesterday Liam, some climbers car was parked there don't know many other people going! It was really good conditions last night! I hope you did your remaining projects as its lime season now!  :P

Correct, although I was doing more cleaning and gluing (Fullwood approved kit) than climbing last night. I must have seen you walking out as I saw two climbers leaving in the distance.

The perfect call. Insofar as anything associated with lime, and it's calling, can be considered good.

I really enjoyed Froggatt yesterday evening.

I was dithering whether to go there or to Roche Abbey right up until the last minute. In the end it was perfect conditions and I bumped into a great group of people there.

Well that was this shittest grit season on record for me. I had a desperate finial last effort hail mary on my project late one night this week but it was way too warm. Don't think I managed a single boulder of significance to me this winter on the grit.

Anyway I'm glad that's over now. Absolutely frothing for kilnsey and Malham this year. went for a walk up gordale scar and around to malham and sure enough all the signs were there of a golden season. (surely it can't keep raining for ever!) anyway I'll be going to Raven Tor on Sunday for the anual pilgramage of the calling. See you there!

Went to Two Tier today. The walk-in was muddy and slippy and I'd forgotten to change out of my previously clean skater shoes. Despite being completely dry there was still plenty of mud and toxic slime at the back of breaks and slots. Meanwhile everything else had that weird layer of limestone dust that has a slight texture but spits you off as soon as you pull hard. Well, everything else apart from the occasional slick polished bit. It was all desperate, steeper than it looked, most holds were either blind, or faced the wrong way, or both. I managed two routes in the whole day. One was a retroed E4 6a that I had to properly work and redpoint and still could have randomly slipped off the crux. The other was a F6c+ that was a convoluted dusty pumpy nightmare that I only managed to beta-flash due to precise hold locating by Mark20. And my shoulder hurt again after being mostly manageable for two weeks.

All in, a perfect call, well done Hadyn  :clap2:
