80's cartoons' songs
April 15, 2008, 10:49:29 pm
here i am, posting on ukb and listening to a few cartoons' songs straight form the 80's: daitarn III, grand prix, gundam, lupin III, geeg, fantaman and so on.
i find those songs soooo coool: fast, pounding disco bass lines, great lyrics, were they like this in the uk version as well?
am i the only one?

so great. so young. so long ago.

Take it those are all Italian ones Nibs?

We had Dogtanian.........

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david.fish2/Dogtanian/dogtaniantheme.wav

.....and other such classics (not sure if that will work as I've no sound - for your sake I hope it doesn't).

Off the top of my head I can't remember anything with a tune I'd call passable to listen to now though..........except maybe Duck Tales.  :-[

I always thought Reach for the Sky by S Club 7 sounds like the Duck Tales theme.

The only Cartoons  songs I can think of from the 80s were those cunts with the stupid hair.

Only in the 80s.

It does although Duck Tales is a far superior tune.

There were some class 80s tunes, mainly for Space related cartoons.
I'm sure I saw a compilation of tracks on YouTube- I'll look tonight.

Defenders of The Earth. Defenders.

Out of the sky, his rockets ignite, jets into battle flying faster than light.  Flash Gordon.
Lord of the Jungle, the hero who stalks the beast call him brother. The ghost who walks.  Phantom.
Defenders of The Earth.

Master of magic spells and illusion. Enemies crumble in fear and confusion.  Mandrake.
Defenders of The Earth.

His strength is a legend, his skill conquers all.  On with his power we never will fall.  Lothar.
Defenders of the Earth.

With our new young heroes proving their worth, four become eight, defending the Earth
Defenders of The Earth.  Defenders.  Defenders of The Earth.

It was ace! Needs some techno remix attention and making a bit less light, I think.

Not for me, I can't see anything except an empty box shape?

Poddington Peas!!  Down at the bottom of the garden, among the birds and the bees, a little lot of little people, they call the Poddington Peas!!   :bounce:

I love Gummi Bears and The Littles, they were both on early on a Sunday morning

I should retire from this thread before I get any more over excited  :-[
