Ian Taylors pic of Richie Betts on Red Handed at Reiff in the Woods. Looks ace.

(sorry about not backlinking slackers, excuses as per previous).

Worthy of a larger canvas me thinks.

Shit if I knew that the horizon up in torridon glowed unnaturally like that I'd have gone years ago, looks amazing.

Photo is actually taken in Assynt, not Torridon.

Stac Pollaidh in background is a small clue.

It's a sign of dave making the usual facetious comments whenever someone uses any photo manipulation software

That's just upping shadows / downing highlights a bit, really just a necessary evil for those who don't own £xxx of remote flashes etc

so nobody thinks a glowing horizon looks unnatural then? I found it distracting in an otherwise good photo.

Unnatural yes, distracting not particularly.

bash your head against a brick wall as much as you like but as Dave correctly pointed out the horizon IS glowing.
The video I've seen of that line the rock doesn't look that red either... The line still looks incredible.

You are forming opinions on what a rock colour should be from a video? With your own eyes you would see it isn't far off.

What on Earth is going on with that plastic bottle? It looks like it's about 10 litres volume, and levitating!

I think you're spot on Dave. A bit too obvious on the manipulation on that one. My apologies :-[.

A few from Gardoms today:

I think we need a campaign for people not to wear grey (or similar) coloured T-shirts at the crag.

O'Rly?  Is that dependent on the rock type?
