Just had an offer of accomodation from some homie living near Mello. Fuck I love the internet.

Should be going with Tom and hopefully meeting Lore out there as well. I think we are keen to go explore a bit of Italy while we are there, maybe in the week after Mello if we can persuade someone on Couch Surfer to [put us up/put up with us] for a few days!

Congrats on baby stuff....and explains a comment on the fine wine thread by Mr LucyA...

Glad to see you're thinking ahead and getting baby on the rock early; plenty of time to build up the fingers then! Will try to PM (if I can work it out) a link to last year's Melloblocco pix...

Hi uk boulderers !

I'm writing from Italy, so sorry for my english ...

I need to practice my english ...  ::), so if You go to Melloblocco and if some of You need a ride from Orio al Serio (Bergamo) airport (Ryanair base) to Val di Mello, just let me know, me and my friends have cars ...

My invitation is not only for Melloblocco:
from Bergamo airport, Cresciano & Chironico too are close.

If You climb with rope, there are many crags around Bergamo, Lecco, ... Arco of course, Ticino as well; Finale and Albenga are not far.

You can see all the possibilities in the following under construction map:

My phylosophy is the same of the site I founded, where there are already some of You (ciao Rob and  Jaspersharpe !):

internet +
Ryanar/Easyjet +
exchange language +
... (many, too many things ...) =

more climbing
more fun

Ciao !

Hello 9b, I am gonna be over in your area next friday with a couple of friends for 9 days. We have a hire car so do not need a ride but would be grateful for some advice from locals regarding good bouldering in the cresciano and chironico area.

we are staying in bellinazona for 4 days then cresciano for the other 5. if we could hook up it would be cool and you could show us around and we could teach you some very good english phrases!!!!

i will register on your site

Ok !
Thanks.
Will You fly to Malpensa or Orio al Serio ?
If You can, You could go to have a look also to Val di Mello and Cimaganda (+- 2000 boulders): to go there You pass through Lecco, where You can buy the guidebooks for Cresciano and Chironico.
I go to ceck Your profile on 9b. Ciao

This is now available in the UK...

http://www.versantesud.it/mello.eng.html

I've got a copy and initial impressions would suggest it's easy to use and pretty concise.

My place of employment has it in stock so I'm pretty sure most climbing gaffs will have it in sooner or later. Thought it was worth a heads up.

You've obviously got to much time on your hands, is there anyone you haven't hassled?  ;)
