Have permission to go bouldering when we visit friends at the above places this weekend.

Anyone know of somewhere not to far a drive from the above?

looking for:
1. Font 5's and 6's grade range (not sure what this is in V's)
2. Not too bad a landings as am on my own but with pad (smallish one)

Any help appreciated.

bloody loads! Caley, Almscliff, BRimham - all within short range. You could probably even get to Slipstones in that time. If you have never been I would go to the mighty almscliff

Almscliff. 15 min drive away.. cant miss it.
Esp if the weather is sketchy as it dries very quick (though can be windy)
Check out www.yorkshiregrit.com it'll have loads of info on problems there if you have not got a guide.

Thanks Dobbin and TomTom. :goodidea:

Looks like Almscliff it is. Looking forward to it now as long as the weather holds out.

:spank:
I knew that would happen!  :)

Only to be used if its either
(1.) hurling it down
(2.) Drippingly hot/sweaty on the grit
(3.) You have a fetish for polished limestone and dog poo.

4) Your tips are so trashed from grit that climbing on frictionless rock won't damage them further.

2 & 4 were the only reasons I hever went (OK, 3 part 2 as well!)

Or 4b) you're saving your pads for a good thrashing at the cliff later in the week. Since I moved from Leeds to Sheffield I miss Wetherby.

Really.
