Great to see bodybuilding at the bottom and climbing at the top.

Though BB is hardly a sport, should've had powerlifting in (but most wouldn't know the difference would they?)

Well I climb, cycle, ski and play golf, so thats pretty much all bases covered for me I reckon.

Surfing should have been on there I'd have thought. Rather better image than standing around a sheep shit covered moor with a load of scruffy blokes in dirty pants down jackets and beanies making their fingertips bleed.

just tell them you go abseiling.

Or alternatively, tell the ladies you often climb at Chapel head Scar, Attermire Scar or Woodhouse Scar. Because as we all know......

Participants were given a list of 15 sports/physical activities and asked if engaging in them would make a member of the opposite sex more attractive

They were give 15 and asked to rank them?

Golf came out second from bottom?

I wonder what "extreme sports" are defined as? Anything that over-caffeinated sugary drink companyock sponsors?

Kite wanking (or whatever the next load of shite they make up and include in the Olympics before climbing will be called).

Where's snowboarding, everyone know snowboarding is far sexier than skiing.  Surfing should definately be on there too.

I also fail to see how running is sexy in a man, on the right girl I can see the appeal.

When I was telling Mrs Dolly about the survey last night,  she noted that the women who had responded obviously weren't in a relationship with real climbers,  but were imagining some sort of idealised figure.
Otherwise the illusion of a finely sculpted athlete would have to be replaced by the reality of an obsessive list ticker.

Not quite sure what she meant

Mrs Dolly sells climbers short, in general they are much more... ehh, I can't think of a polite word... toned, will do, than regular (I nearly said 'normal' ;D) guys.

Technically boulderers are better than climbers too.  Not that I've done a study or anything.  :-[

You're impressed by muscles aren't you Magpie?   This is not unusual for small ladies (you hands are tiny).

Maybe.  I'm fussy though, they must be lean muscles not big body building ones, they frighten me.  There are rules.  ;D

 I don't think you get leaner than bodybuilders < 7% fat etc.

Well maybe I don't mean lean, I mean not huge and bulky.  Like your avatar, that is wrong.  I don't know what I mean really, I think the important point in what I'm trying to say is that everyone should post more semi-naked climbing pictures.  8)
