Manchester and Sheffield are fairly close together, any chance of a lecture further North?

(Pateley Bridge memorial hall might be free ;D)

My housemate is involved with management at AWCC Stockport. I have a hunch that the senior management would very well be interested in hosting this. I'll call him now.

It's the Welsh effort in Swansea that's been cracking me up since this thread was born!

Swansea:  the cradle, the nexus of Welsh climbing . . .        'kin nuts.

Next time you speak to him, tell him there are some very distressed people about due to the fact he isn't coming north of the border  :'(

I wouldn't see it as such a great loss. You can always watch one of the hundreds of films about him or read one the hundreds of interviews with him etc etc. I've nothing against Sharma whatsoever (I have never met him but from what I've seen he seems a sound lad) but I have no interest in hearing yet more from him. He's massively overhyped exposed as it is.  ;)

I do see it as a great loss though, I can hardly hang around outside one of the DVDs trying to touch him up, can I?

I would actually really like to see him speak, un-ashamed perving opportunity aside, I think he'd have a lot of interesting stuff to say.  He's a great climber and has done routes in some amazing places and I prefer going to see people talk who are obviously passionate about what they do, even if they aren't technically great speakers, I think he'd fall into that category.

Plus, I might get to touch him :-[

I've touched his naked skin.

Obviously I've never washed since . . .    Beginning to hum now, but Shamra is a part of me - maybe one molecule of him got in a cut under my nail . . .   Maybe it's dividing in my boodstream right this minute . . .

    . . . maybe it's . . .

'ting is . . .   most of those are closer to Death than Glory.

I'm all for a bit of wad-bashing, but don't forget there are very very few people out there capable of beasting 8B+ and 8C.  Shamra nearly flashed 8B in Hueco not long back; as did Graham.  Absolute waddage.  More so than old cunts like you and I have managed.

The problem w/ Shamra (as you said) is one of  E X P O S U R E .   After a while, it's just gravy . . .   and gravy's a terribly dull sauce.

It's all a question of what you consider important . . . Or entertaining.  Haston for example, is scintillating - Dunne is dull as pigfat.

If it came down to a Crass Shamra, Martin ( . . . is it nailed down . . ? ) Crook or Ray (I could kill you, y'know . . . ) Kay-47 lecture - I know where I'd be.   ;)

Afternoon of the 15th of March is the BUSAs at the Climbing Works. Going to be some upset students.

But there is a special BUSA only lecture on the evening of the 15th so 225 students shouldn't be too upset.

Bungle.
