I don't know - something to do with the way the sandstone bands formed and the path of erosion. All the good stuff is steep around Sydney. Theres a few good walls/slabs but mostly its all about the overhang. That pic is of Crumbly which is a bit of a shithole but houses some of the hardest problems in NSW.
