I'm just quietly throwing in Klaxons and shutting the door. They make me cringe.

Agree completely.

1. They're shit 2. They think they're fucking brilliant. And on that note.....Franz fucking Ferdinand can join them. Cunts.

Elbow? Over-rated, they should be stripped of their Mercury prize and tossed in here. I would have though something not mainstream could have won. Like Burial, for example...

Didn't you call you call Burial "the Pendulum of Dubstep ..."  ;)

(I quite like that wishy washy lovey dovey Elbow song that I don't know the name of)

One Day Like This.

The MMP poison chalice. A hard working Manchester band produces good unpresumtuous songs for half a decade or so, and gains a moderate level of success, and a small live following. They get given a MMP which gives them a slight increase in profile and of a sudden people who haven't really been aware of them now (or have probably listened to a whole album) think they are overrated.

Did I? oh shit, I revoke that statement in haste and apologise to anybody affected, Burial's album is fucking beautiful, not quite dubstep, very much ambient electronica and very very fucking sublime.

I was very much affected, you nearly made me cry :(

Glad you've seen the light though :)

I wanted Burial to win, but in a way it's ok, i'm not sure he's the type of guy (if it is a "he") into awards anyway. If it's still true that only 5 people know he makes music then it would be a bit out of place perhaps.

I didn't get dubstep at all but after loving Untrue and many a late night Mary-Anne Hobbs session I'm starting to love some of it. I recommend Silkie & Quest mixies - they're beatiful.

Anyway moving on from this musical love in and getting back on track can I nominate:

Blackburn* and Real Player

I'm sure I don't need to explain the reasons why, so I won't.

* apart from BUK which is good, once you actually find it.....

Tried to download this last night. Took 1 hour to tell me the 'original code was corrupted' or something...

did you download the actual file or did you click one of the ads by mistake?
also are you downloading by morse code? Took 30 seconds on mine.
Try downloading again, works great and you never have to install real (shit) player again

Attempted the 'lite' version. Retrying now....Job done, 30 seconds. Cheers.

Whatever you call 'em - Nobbys, Chalfonts, Ashleys, Asteroids...am I alright to put them in?

If only on a Darwinian flava, I'm struggling to see the point of 'em.

This is true - i've not had them for years but fuck do they make your life a misery and mine were only small 'uns  gained from obsessive motorcycling.

I watched a programme once where this oldish bloke had a whole set removed that were the size of grapes. He said he'd had them for years. Poor bastard, he must have had a steely constitution.

People on internet forums who challenge each other to "discuss it mano-a-mano" w/ all threats discretely yet tangibly implied despite the obvious and ironic fact that those who make such offers wouldn't say boo to a goose or could blow the skin off a rice pudding.

Lordy lordy . . .

Why not just throw all taxi drivers in?

The  :wank: think they own the roads just 'cause they're sat on their arses all day in a taxi rank with their engines running.  Most haven't don't seem to have even heard of The Highway Code.
