just seen this clip (was just the next link on youtube after watching that 'The art of not climbing thing' in another thread).



Does this mean if there are some 18" icicles hanging off the top of raven tor this winter, I can launch off up any old route the wielding my axes  :-\

Heel spurs are cheating though  ???  Tsunami M12, I believe.

Where to the boundaries lie, at what point are you justified in using axes, As far as I can tell - he didnt actually touch any ice.

He did to get over the ice curtain, therefore it's justified to use tools.  Quid pro crap.

If you're going to turn everything into glorified pullups then just aid the fucking thing as you'll cause less damage.

Yes, if you are a dick? As farcical as this subsport is, I would like to think they respect existing sport routes.
