Met this guy whilst camping in the Cordillera Blanca, he's cycling from Alaska to Patagonia via mainly dirt trails (90% so far and in stages, currently doing Ecuador to Lima) and he writes a blog about the route/adventures/gear reviews, some of his stuff is sometimes published in US magazines.

Thought it might be of interest to MTBers here...
