Think that's from one of the NSX vids. The skinnies before the wheel are sick.

Myself, the hounarable Bubba (the fatdoc if we can ever prise him away from clipped in uphill torture) are off to Inners again on the 27th July. There will probably be two teams from Sheff (1 being a mainly bmx riders gone full suspension vans worth and the other being portly middle age men that really should know better.... :-\ wonder which on  i will be in?) Prob going up to play at Glentress the day before, camping or dossing that night then uplift the next day.
In the mean time....Im off to the Alps tomorrow, see you in a week!

Will try make a plan, for the 'tress section at least. Campsite in Peebles is good, walking distance to middle of town. Will probably fit better into team II, as i meet 2 of 3 criteria. Have fun in the Alps, stay intact!

Serviced the bikes yesterday and went up to Sheep's Skull on the hardtail today.

Conditions are great, it's fast and dusty and somebody has done a bit of work on the kickers to fix them back up. I'm thinking of building an alternative, bigger drop-in over the drystone wall at the top.

that drop OK? pedalled up there (dont ask..) to check it out some weeks ago... being on my own, no armour and general gayness put me off... but it drops right into a vista of all of sheffield!
would look ace on film...

I'm not going to inners, i'll be en famille in the lakes hopefully... i'll get out on some more ammenable trails to *get my eye in* before venturing out on the big gnarl.. i reckon it takes a fair few weeks to get back into the bigger stuff, wandering up to inners with like 2 days of freeriding this year would certainly land me in the hosser.

I'll try to get few visits in to storthes and the easier tracks at wharners before going uplift in the UK.

TBH the XC stuff is pleasing me greatly ATM, horses for courses....

just been up on the SX, serious summer cold, near no sleep combined with an unfamilar bike riding clipped in = shit time at the trails.  :'(

i'll go back next week when i've got control of at least some of the above parameters. I bloody hate having a temperature in summer.... urrrgh.

It's at a top-secret location just outside Totley. We'd have to initiate you with butseks or of course I could just PM you the directions.

Doesn't sound  like the kind of place to take a carbon fibre framed bike with untested pivots to me Cofe.

Ok, this weekend is Inners uplift on Sunday. four cars going up from sheff, most on friday for some glentress action on Saturday. Dossing on Sat night and trying not to get too fucked up for a full day sunday of downhill exploits. Pretty mixed crew with xc aplenty on saturday and sunday along with some bike park action.
Few spaces available I think.

Successful trip?

Was keen, but forecast for mountains was too good, so we got into Hell's Lum and did Clean Sweep. Too rooted yesterday to do anything.

Akkk - successful trip for everyone bar me, who was injury boy for the weekend. I don't usually crash much at all but managed to sprain my wrist and stab myself in the stomach with a bar end within 10 minutes of starting to ride on Saturday. I wasn't paying attention and fell heavily off some easy north shore in the Glentress bike park. I crashed again 10 mins later landing on a rock on my ribcage. The uplift day was painful due to my wrist and on the 2nd or 3rd run I went over the bars and landed on a bar end again, this time directly onto my cock. It really hurt. I also hit a tree with my head on the way over and got pinned under the bike. After another run I realised my wrist was just getting worse and worse so bagged it for the day :(  :boohoo:

But anyway, everyone else had a great day with only minor injuries - Inners was in mint condition and the others all rode really well.

I'm now champing at the bit for a rematch once the wrist has calmed down.

.
Sunday was hot damn hot, Inners was as good as ever.
All in all good fun day, if only for taking the piss out of Bubb's swollen elephant man hand

Feel free to laugh - i would have done if it was someone else. I'm dissapointed that my todger isn't bruised though - i could have had a multicolor dick-bruise to match the massive handlebar imprint on my belly )

Shit. And here's me about to get a new mountain bike rather than a motorbike because it'll be safer. You going to start wearing a box when you're riding?

Got any photos? Of the riding, not the cock!

Didn't get any riding pics but some vids. As usual helmet cam makes everything look *much* less steep than it really is:

First one bad quality but gives you an idea of how the rooty twisty stuff rides and the soundtrack gives a good idea of the abuse your bike takes:

This one is a quality vid of a run down the old "over-caffeinated sugary drink company" track, Matador:

And this is the fast jumpy track, "Make or Brake" - this track is all on prepared surface:
