Chilcotin, British Columbia apparently, but that's all it says.

Chilcotins are meant to be amazing (that sea is a river by the way).
I'm off out on the shore tomorrow - let's hope i come away intact....

Check out this set of photos of the chilcotins:

mojo carbon, but just a long-term loan though. it is super nice, set up for trail riding. climbs well and descends like a dream.

Users can stop people hyperlinking to their pics on flickr as seems to be the case here (described originally here it results in spaceball.gif when you right click).

Have to say I didnt enjoy the Dark Side north shore section, very tech and i couldnt do some of it(mainly the uphill bits!) The Kona drop

was fun followed by a nice set of doubles and further down a cracking hip to slab feature which I sessioned a bit.
i did the red xc the next day and thought Glentress was way better.
Anyway my holidays booked for end of june and im off to Morzine for a week!!!! Oh yeah

That's not him :)

Hardtail would be fine on that coz of the huge transition

exactly, its built for xc bikes and the tranny is massive although i did nearly clear it on a overly ethusiastic  jump.

I'm ashamed to say that conjured up quite a different image in my mind.....

That looks cracking. Can't wait to get exams over with and make a trip up there.
Definitely a hardtail venue then? All the skinny bits look like they'd be much better on a HT, but if there's any big drops or DH around then it confuses matters...  :-\

A hardtail is perfect - I didn't do the drop myself coz by that time I'd lost my front brake but for the rest of it you don't need any rear travel.

That's fairly big... You really wouldn't want to screw that up.

I've found www.eshershore.com, which I think needs a visit when I go home at some stage during the Summer. It looks pretty good with a decent range of stuff from easy to nails.

I'm in yorkshire that weekend, otherwise i would have joined you, as I haven't been on it, but I could find out. Don't know of anyone who uses the uplift though.

I think if they've not been on the uplift then they're probably not doing DH - the hour long walk up would put most people off doing the DH runs there without uplift, though I'm sure there's some hardy souls who do it.

Never jump to flat

Always ensure enough speed to make that step up
