Just unearthed this video from 15 years ago (!) showing the correct starting position for both hands as per Chris Davies's first ascent of Pit of Hell (Gaz got the FA of Cave Life which shares the same starting position as Pit of Hell). Thought I'd share to make it clearer for folks (there wasn't a video on UKC showing this until I stuck this on there tonight).
Its a little contrived but its considerably easier if your left hand starts on holds further left.
This was back when the wobbly block actually wobbled and the 'big crimp' below the RA starting jug was not there - clearly visible in the vid. (Its all much the same overall as the block is slightly worse than before).
