And the Chomp of course. So cheap you can hand 'em out and feel generous without the usual feelings of loss.

chomps are great but the fact they're now up to 15p has taken the shine off them for me. plus they can be a bit brittle in cold weather (a criticism also directed at double deckers) unless you pre-warm them. for the winter grit season fudges and boosts are often a safer bet. but nothing beats the feeling of a 'decker in your hip pocket at the Tor.

My cursor hovered over the wad button for that one. You've redeemed yourself, well done.

I know it's hardly connoisseur chocolate, but I'm pleased the Wispa is making a comeback.

Chomp's a great word, as well as a classic staple of any British schoolboy's diet.  Although like dave says, it was a dark day when they cranked the price up.

Jasper mentioned Lily's before.  A good shout, mainly because they put beetroot in their standard salad.

Indeed.  There ukbourgeois.com was, ticking along nicely, when a bunch of rowdy northerners roll up and start banging on about Chomps.  I ask you!

for the winter grit season fudges

i've heard about you packing a few of them in.

i prefer Fry's Chocolate Cream, but then I do have a distinguished pallette.

pannetone

blue sapphire gin (with schweppes tonic)

waffles as made by my belgian grandma on a outdated and frankly dangerous electrical waffle maker

frozen raspberries defrosted in cassis and scoffed with whipped cream (and meringue!)

madeira

Tried this for the first time last night, thank someone I'm not working now.  Great stuff, port-ish, lovely if you can handle sweet drinks.  Worth a try if you can't.  Thus far all the appelation contrrolle wines I've tried have been lush.

This sounds gorgeous, as do frozen grapes, SAChris.

Parmesan grated, lemon juice, olive oil, all mixed up and poured into linguine, topped with some Rocket and eaten with a crisp light Lambrusco. Summer heaven.

Change the Lambrusco for a nice bottle of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene DOC Spumante and you're talking.
