Started early on the finger exercises. Good technique already being displayed - check out that thumb action. Bodes well for the crimp!

(Last baby pic honest :) )

The first female to climb 9A, E9 and 9a was born yesterday at 19:14. At 7lb 5oz, Jessica Beatrix Rae-Hunt may not be the most powerful climber, but she makes up for it in raw lank.
I'll post a picture at some point, or if someone can figure out how to link to the one I posted on Flickr then you could do me a favour and embed it.

Nice one Will, congrats and welcome to Dad / no sleep / more or less constant worry club!

On a related note, I forgot to post that my little lad was born back in Feb. Clement Stanley Sparrow, arrived on 1st Feb. All good, but he is proving much more of a challenge in the sleep (or lack of) stakes than Una...we didn't realise how relatively easy we had it.

I'm sure you did too. Either lack of sleep is making you forgetful, or old age is making Andy and me senile.

Boys are tough babies and easier toddlers, apparently, girls other way round. We certainly found it to be the case.

Mine too - and it's also weaned her off Duplo and made her psyched for "normal Lego".

Bought her a little aeroplane set the other week and unbelievably she sat patiently and built it with me for about an hour. Literally the longest I've seen her sit quietly and focus on something that didn't have a screen.

I've been collecting from everyone at work, scored the motherlode from one lass who bought a whole load of booze for her wedding from Sainsbo, we have a load of swapsies.

Just the beginning TTT!

Shame they have discontinued the LEGO Mixels series, they were really popular in our house for a while, and much better value (play wise and price wise) that the minifigures. Worth looking out if you can find old stock, especially if you can find 3 from a "tribe" in any series that you can combine into a giant one.

Cheers folks. Sarah and Ben are in hospital as he's on precautionary antibiotics, hopefully out tomorrow. I'm not allowed to visit til 11am each day so time for a deadhang session each morning while doing the chores! My peaceful training haven won't last...
