this is just to let you know how much we can be a third world country.
in my endless search for a decent and paid job, i came to know that the biggest climbing and mountaineering shop in florence was in need of two employees, since one girl opened a clothing shop on her own, and another one is going away.
i was quite psyched, cos it sounded cool to deal with climbing stuff, maybe getting one pair of shoes or pants for free or cheap, and earning money.
anyway, i called them, they know me pretty well, and ive been told that they have already taken one girl, and its fine because by february they are DISMISSING their entire mountain sector: skiing, hiking, climbing, everything.
this will lead to a monopoly situation, given that in florence there is ONLY ONE OTHER specialized shop. i know the other owner, and hope he doesnt turn into a real ass****, but, what if he decides to raise all the prices? he wont have to face any other competitor on the market, and they will be the only climbing shop in hundreds of kms.
and i didnt get the job.
plus, i watched again "stick it" and got a real bad england "saudade".
