If it makes you feel better r-man, it was my birthday yesterday

And for it I got:

A snapped a4 pulley on my index finger last night the on jugs of Jerry's roof, 3 weeks before my font trip

Fuckin harsh.

Jasper, not sure about the logic, but it has a certain ring to it.

No logic whatsoever. I quite like it though. ;D

Just say its for Scott to pick it up, that or I'll send a minion in.

I need to nip in anyway as someone stole my walking boots this week too :(

That, on top of a months wages repairing my van has made a very expensive month for me.

Think i'll write a book about it  :boohoo:

Okay, so you're not who I thought you were. There was somebody trying Scoop Traverse when I got to the Cromlech last night, was that you?

Did you think I was Stu?

I was with Stu last night, the guy on the Scoop traverse was a French dude, who was at Jerry's when my finger snapped. The hush that came over everyone when it went was intense.

Ha ha, i still remain an enigma. Bwah ha ha ha haaaaa!

All that guessing reminded me of our climbing trivial pursuit game. I've thought of a way transferring it into multimedia format. Long boring evenings on climbing trips will be a thing of the past.  Look out for such classics as name that problem (via yes and no elimination) and problem charades (via mimetic representation).

Seriously, its far better than I could care to describe. Ask BenF, he gets an erection when this game arises.

That night in Magic Wood was one of the high points of my life.  A kind of boulders Question Time with Andy Jennings as David Dimbleby.

Bethesda's finest musical export is getting dangerously close to the HPR answer.

On a different note, I recall playing a route miming guessing game whilst wasted on too much cheap wine in a remote Spanish refuge many years ago. It was a right laugh, although I'm sure we looked pretty stupid. My mate's mime for Green Death involved him unclipping all but one imaginary quickdraw from his harness and glancing up with a look of fear and dismay on his face. I got it straight away.

Weener!!  Weener!!

Nice line, obviously great rock.  One of the best areas in The Pass.  ''Stunning?''  Perhaps...  Don't mind if I ring my own bell here (ouch) but the one known as, When I Was on Horseback (tough line to it's R still to go), could well have taken this particular adjective as it's own already.  Hunt!  Seek!

Hidden Populations Research is the correct answer - I won't quibble over the 's'. So we have another winner, who is also a N Wales local (no doubt I'll see you at the Ormes some time in the next few weeks SF Monkey; failing that I'll leave the V12 chalkbag in the shop in Llanberis).

I did go looking for When I Was on Horseback once, but failed to find it. I'm sure it is as pant-wettingly good as you say, but some more specific location details might help.

Here's the original news item for those who haven't discovered the search function on the NWB.com site:

If you take that many guesses with a cryptic crossword, I hope you use pencil.

Oh my Si, I do think those chickeny-whites should have been left to posterity...

I'll not hi-jack Weeners' thang here further, but WIWOH is a fine old-skool line.  Proud, and not too far from MYOFM.  Well, there's more to go there.  Remember that entire buttress, untouched?  Shamone!
