While neither crippled or old ;) I would like one, partly for the shiny factor and partly due to a congenital disability which makes all climbing a heroic endeavor.   :o

Whilst also interested in seeing one, I'm surprised quite how excited people are getting. Has anyone on here seen one in the flesh let alone actually using one? They may well turn out to be amazing, but if it's only the makers word for it we have so far  be prepared they may be a combination of..

You obviously dont have shagged ankles then obi.

I've seen some reviews, heard 1 recomendation off a mate of a mate. That'll do me.

I was told (my someone other than the manufacturer) that these things were awesome and they watched the rep jumping onto one from a decent height and challenging other pad manufacturers at the same trade show to do the same with theirs, I don't believe that anyone took him up on that offer!

Well the Ronin has landed. Anyone who wants a look pop in to the Works. We might even lend it out for testing.

How long have you got it for G ? - and do you know how much we'd have to pay to get one ?

Just used one in NZ for 5 weeks.... They seem to be ok, but not sure they are worth the hassle. They are heavier than most pads, and are a pain to take down and assemble again if your travelling with it and need to collapse it fully. On the other hand, the weight means it doesnt blow away and sits nice and flush to the rock. So no dabs there..... As for landing on it from height, i never did so can't comment on that, but it does seem very good and got nothing but praise from the owner.

My tuppence worth.

We bought it so its here for keeps. Reckon they are going to cost around £300, depends a bit on the exact cost of shipping. Same price as a Mondo.

They take 10 minutes to strip down or re-make, not that much hassle for flying!

Both the 8a pad and the Ronin have been out a while now. Anyone else used them?

I've had a test jump on Fatdoc's and was suitably impressed all i've seen of the 8a pad was Graeme looking bemused by an ill fitting pump.
